The design and manufacturing of our industry leading products occur at two manufacturing facilities in Collingwood & Owen Sound.

MacLean Engineering is a heavy equipment innovation engine with roots in underground mining and a future above ground and beyond. Our design, manufacturing, and marketing activities are concentrated in the mining, municipal, environmental, and industrial goods sectors, through a global network of customer support locations in the Americas, South Africa, and Australasia. We sell our products and support services into 23 countries on six continents. We are in the process of writing the next chapters of the MacLean story, taking our hard rock expertise and custom-build approach to the fields of municipal infrastructure maintenance, hazardous materials recycling, construction, and contract manufacturing. Our diverse and experienced engineering teams, working hand-in-hand with our international sales and product management teams, utilize leading-edge technologies to design equipment solutions that are purpose-built for the most challenging environments. We are headquartered in Collingwood, Ontario, where we have been innovating underground mining equipment solutions for over 40 years. Our flagship Mining division provides customers with innovative equipment solutions for underground tunneling and mining operations, through a comprehensive line of mobile support and service vehicles. Our fast-growing Municipal Vehicles and Attachments division manufactures maintenance vehicles and attachments that are purpose-built for the most exacting outdoor jobs and the full-year weather extremes that come with them. Our leading-edge Environmental division puts its HazPak compaction and gas capture technology to use for the safe disposal of aerosol cans and other hazardous waste. Our emerging Industrial Products division designs and manufactures a range of heavy equipment and industrial parts, both as MacLean-branded products as well as on a contract basis for public and private sector clients. Kevin MacLean was named President of MacLean Engineering in 2005, having served on the Company’s Board of Directors prior to that. In 2012, he received the BACUS prize for lifetime achievement and contribution to the computer chip manufacturing industry, from SPIE (The International Society for Optics and Photonics). A professional Mining Engineer, long-time miner and entrepreneur, Don built his namesake Company into a global force for hard rock mining innovation on the back of flagship, industry-changing products, notably the Series 900 Scissor Bolter and the remote-controlled Blockholer Drill. In 2014, Don was inducted into the International Mining Hall of Fame. As Chairman of MacLean Engineering, Don remains active in the business in an executive oversight and strategic capacity. In his role as Chief Financial Officer at MacLean, Casey oversees the Company’s financial reporting, audit and compliance, legal, risk management and planning & treasury functions. Bob Wraight has over 30 years of experience in Engineering and Manufacturing, having worked in a wide range of high technology and lean manufacturing environments. As VP of Operations at MacLean, Bob is responsible for all facets of manufacturing at the Company’s multiple production facilities, materials management, production and distribution warehousing. Corporately, Bob also oversees Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Systems, Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE). Tony Caron started with MacLean Engineering in 1995 and since that time has served in a variety of positions of progressive responsibility across the business, including in manufacturing, aftermarket sales, branch management and business development. In 2008, Tony was named General Manager responsible for sales and aftermarket support in Latin America and Quebec, in which capacity he oversees the MacLean branches in Val-D’Or, Quebec, Queretaro (north of Mexico City), Mexico; and Lima, Peru. Having spent a large portion of his almost 30 years of mining experience in the underground hard rock mining area throughout the world, Peter brings a strong understanding of maintenance and an operational perspective to MacLean Engineering, especially with a view to equipment sales and customer service. Peter has previously worked in positions as Vice President of Underground Mining North America and Major Account Manager for a multi-national OEM, Service engineer for SKF and several positions as Maintenance Superintendent for various mining houses.
